Graduate Training in Business, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Irish Research Council (IRC) funded International Centre for Graduate Education in micro- & nano-Engineering (ICGEE) in partnership with the INSPIRE graduate research education programmes are delighted to announce the date for the 2012 Business and Innovation workshop. The event will take place on Wednesday & Thursday September 19–20 at the TCD-UCC Innovation Academy, 3 Foster Place, College Green, Dublin 2. The two-day programme will feature a range of presentations from business leaders, academics, innovators, and entrepreneurs who will explore the importance of accelerating the commercialisation of university-based research. The event aims to stimulate students’ creative and critical thinking in advancing innovative ideas emerging from their doctoral research and how such ideas can be evolved into successful enterprises for commercial, social, policy or cultural value creation..

IRC funded students are encouraged to attend the event which is free, however, registration is necessary to ensure sufficient seating. A limited number of bursaries have also been made available to provide financial assistance towards the cost of travel and accommodation for students travelling to Dublin for the event.
