Research Project Grants Scheme 2013 - Now Open

The Research Project Grants Scheme is designed with the objective of facilitating researchers and research teams to build capacity in their research area by way of stimulus project grants and knowledge transfer initiatives. The rationale for this scheme is to provide funding for researchers to enable them to expand their research activities and become competitive for International Funding Opportunities.

The Council will offer three types of research project grant in 2013, including the Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Starter Research Project Grant; Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Advanced Research Project Grant; and Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Interdisciplinary.

This call for applications is managed by the Irish Research Council (the Council) and includes specific strands that are managed on behalf of the Department of Social Protection (DSP), the HSE Crisis Pregnancy Programme (CPP), and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) / Higher Education Authority (HEA).
