Irish Research Council Annual Symposium 2013
The Irish Research Council held its Annual Research Symposium on 14th September 2013 from 10:00am until 4:00pm in the Convention Centre, Dublin. This event focused on the value of investing in researchers in Ireland and will explore pathways within the headline theme of ‘My Research Career – Next Steps’.
THE FINAL SCHEDULE IS NOW AVAILABLE HERE!
The annual event is an opportunity to showcase excellent, innovative and impactful research taking place in Ireland and celebrate the work that Irish Research Council researchers are doing. It is also an opportunity to learn valuable tools to further your career such as applying for jobs, tips & tricks when applying for funding and promoting your research.
Keynote speakers from across the Research Community were in attendance, including Irish and European policy makers and governmental representatives who gave the inside view on where research is going. A selection of presentations given at the Symposium are available below.
As part of the Symposium, we launched a digital poster competition on 'Why my Research Matters'. The challenge was to communicate effectively to the public exactly what you are researching, how you are doing it, and why your research matters. A list of winners may be found here.
