Law Reform Commission Post-Doctoral Internship

The Irish Research Council is strongly committed to providing excellent career development opportunities to post-doctoral fellows funded under our schemes. In particular, we advocate a rounded approach to developing a research career to include experiences beyond the purely academic sphere.

In line with this strategy, we wish to offer an internship for one year to carry out legal research on an identified project or projects within the Law Reform Commission’s Fourth Programme of Law Reform and on its Access to Legislation programme (www.lawreform.ie).

Commission projects have been chosen following wide public consultation and therefore the resulting Reports are on matters that are highly relevant to society's current needs. Reports and their recommendations often strongly influence the content of enacted legislation. They serve as reference documents for lawyers on the subject in question and are regularly referred to in court judgments.

Application procedure, eligibility criteria and further information may be viewed in the document below.
