HEA Vacancy: Chief Executive Officer
The Higher Education Authority (HEA) has statutory responsibility for the effective governance and regulation of higher education institutions and the higher education system. This includes responsibility for funding, strategic planning, and oversight to ensure the alignment of institutional strategies and national priorities within a coherent and co-ordinated system of diverse higher education institutions with distinct missions.
The HEA is central to the implementation of the National Strategy for Higher Education to 2030, and ensuring a higher education and research system that facilitates innovation, competitive enterprise and continuing academic excellence, and supports the social, cultural and economic development of Ireland.
This Chief Executive Officer role presents an exciting opportunity for a strong and inspiring leader to proactively drive change and reform and help shape the next phase of the higher education and research system in Ireland.
Reporting to the Authority, the Chief Executive will lead and develop a progressive fit-for purpose organisation and engage strategically with a range of stakeholders and senior decision makers across government and the education, enterprise and research sectors to ensure the delivery of key objectives.
